Today was our first meeting of the season. The first thing we did was watch a demonstration of last year's challenges. Then we got to work, destroying the old robots and sorting all the pieces.

After that, we did some team building activities.

This one was called the Helium Stick.  (L to R) Faith, Drew, Aydan, Alan, Andrew & Al

Then we had a building challenge: to build a bridge that could span the distance between two tables and hold a certain amount of weight. And do it in 8 minutes. I was really pressed  for time and a didn't do a very good job, so my bridge collapsed, but some of the bridges were really cool!
